  • Volunteer and Event Coordinator

    This part-time is responsible for the recruitment, training, scheduling, and retention efforts for individual and group volunteers across the Sunrise system, including but not limited to the Sunrise Cafe, Sunrise Shop, Sunrise Mail, Sunrise Hotline, and Sunrise special events. Additionally, this position will coordinate in-kind donations, supply drive events and speaking requests from community partners, individuals, and faith-based groups while ensuring excellent data tracking.

  • Development and Events Manager

    This full-time position is responsible for donor and community engagement, event planning, and outreach strategies to support Sunrise’s mission and growth. This role ensures the success of fundraising events, donor relations, and strategic community engagement. Successful candidates will have experience in event production and direct appeal campaigns.

  • People and Culture Manager

    This part-time position plays a critical role in ensuring the effective integration, training, and professional development of staff and interns at Sunrise. This role collaborates with the Thriving People Team to deliver structured onboarding, conduct training sessions, monitor performance, and provide ongoing support to staff and interns. The Manager will also oversee compliance with attendance and performance expectations and conduct regular site visits and one-on-one check-ins to ensure the success of these team members within the organization. Additionally, this role is responsible for screening applicants, interviewing, and hiring all PRN staff and interns to ensure the best fit for Sunrise's mission and operational needs.

  • Wayfinder Hotline Specialist

    This part-time positon will serve as the first point of contact for individuals experiencing homelessness or those at risk of homelessness. This position serves as a crucial contact for individuals evaluating Diversion eligibility, and coordinating resources to help clients exit homelessness. You will assist with the Wayfinder program through the Hotline, ensuring compliance with policies and collaborating with property managers, hosts, and internal teams to secure successful outcomes.

  • Hotline Assessor

    This part-time position is pivotal in assessing the needs of individuals reaching out for assistance, ensuring they receive the appropriate resources and support. Your contributions will directly impact our mission to provide holistic care and transform the lives of those we serve.

  • Payroll Specialist

    The part-time position will prepare bi-weekly payroll for 60+ employees, ensuring compliance with payroll regulations and maintaining accurate records. The role requires strong attention to detail, proficiency in payroll software (Rippling), and effective collaboration within the organization.

  • PRN Screener

    This part-time position is responsible for inputting accurate and timely data into the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) and serving clients with compassion and efficiency while ensuring all interactions are documented and that data integrity is maintained. This flexible role involves working across multiple teams including the Sunrise Hub day center, Sunrise Mobile and Shelter outreach teams, and Sunrise Hotline call center.

Sunrise Internships

Sunrise Homeless Navigation Center offers internships for students pursuing a Bachelor of Social Work, Master of Social Work, Marketing, Communication, and Non-Profit Management degrees. We currently partner with Texas State University, The Steve Hicks School of Social Work at the University of Texas Austin, St. Edward’s University, Baylor University, and more!
